The Benedictine Sister of Corpus Christi Monastery

Quietly and slowly over time, Mother gathered courage and the "know-how" to apply to Rome for an "exclaustration of vows" (this is NOT a Dispensation); this is merely an official paper and statement from Rome which gives official permission from the HOLY SEE for a Sister to legitimately begin her own Order. * Eary on, Mother spoke to a good, solid canonist and received the Papal approval she needed and formed a "Public Association", with "Pontifical Status" (Pontifical Approval), which is basically a "very big deal". It is the "ultimate seal of approval" for an Order to begin its work and existence, by Rome. * "The Benedictine Sisters" was thus, borne, in Deer Lodge, Montana. Mother was trained as a Master Teacher in Music, Math and English . She has taught 5th and 6th grade for 71 years. She is now 87 years old. She is highly regarded as a Master Teacher in Gregorian Chant music as well, having studied with the acclaimed, Fr. Lucien DEISS. Mother Regina Mary has also taught young musicians in Gregorian Chant who have gone on to write tomes and conduct and sing/chant/teach this ancient music and are renown now, in their own right. * Mother is very humble about her varied musical gifts, still playing the organ, piano, teaching voice, chant, guitar, french horn, sax, among many other instruments. Mother has also had training from Dr. Carl ORFF and Dr. Grace Nash, founders of the ORFF method of teaching music to children. She is a member of DOSA and the ORFF musical/music teacher's society of Detroit.
