Saints

The congregation for the causes of saints
When and if the last required miracle has been proven and accepted the Pope issues a bill of canonization for the saint and leads the ceremonies in the Basilica. Pope John Paul II decreed a major reform of cause for saints’ process in 1983 Discontinued devils advocate and given a new title:”Prelate Theologies” New ways to determine sainthood Once the cause is accepted the congregation appoints a postulator and regulator The regulator is in charge of overseeing the writings of the postulator. -This contains everything necessary for the consultor and the postulator to make their judgement the postulator is then examined by eight-prelate theologian. If six or more approve the positio it is pasted onto the board of cardinals for judgement. If they approve it, it then goes to the Pope for his decision One miracle is required for non-martyrs for beautification and one miracle for canonization.

1 Corinthians 12: 8-11 – St Paul spoke to the Corinthians of various gifts.

Why does God give us Saints?
To help our faith in him through these signs of miracles to show us the way to become closer to him. As he did with prophet in the Old Testament. He gives us the Saints of today to tell us more about him and heaven through saints, we know more about the church graces, hell, Purgatory, Mary, and the life of Jesus; especially his passion and his death on the cross and the Eucharist. He told us in Matthew, “I have more to tell you, but we can not handle it all at that time” and he tells us that, “that he will be with us always” When you read about Saints they seem to have certain qualities a like. -Humility, they don’t want to lose the love of God
-Never use the attention for financial gain
-Always obedient to bishop
-Never materialistic in their living
